What I Cooked This Week

I had off this week and one of the things I wanted to do was cook. A lot. I had a bunch of recipes I've been holding off on doing because of time constraints, but this week:

I made the Garlic Corn Saute recipe from YD's blog. It was REALLY good and easy. Make sure you let everything caramelize just a little.

I made Rosemary Shortbread cookies, I've already talked about them here. These are SO easy.

I made a Cranberry Orange Tart with ginger cream cheese using the tart dough recipe I found on David Lebovitz's blog. This was also super easy, much more so than the final outcome looked:
I did a Beef Burgundy crockpot recipe. If you've ever wondered what 1/4 cup of red wine looked like when you added 1/3 cup flour, this is it:
I made Brandied Mushrooms and a Squash cassarole with Cranberries and Apples for Thanksgiving, and they were both great.

I also cooked up this pendant:
It is a commissioned piece for a coworker. I was pretty happy with how it turned out.

Damn. That looks delicious! ::drool::

And the pendant is beautiful. You should take a short video of yourself working the metal into those curves and knots. Secretly, I've always want to see you do that.

What a crazy woman in the kitchen you were! Any leftovers you'd like to send Minnesota way? It all looked and sounded dee-lish!

Your pendant is beautiful . . . you be a very talented lady.
